POSITION: Sales Account Manager
LOCATION: Openings in Southern California
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sales
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with sales experience and demonstrated account management success
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position will be responsible for ET Water sales and market development in the designated territory. Target customers are influential landscape contractors, homebuilders, property managers, HOAs, specifiers, municipalities, and water agencies located in the territory. The position will also be responsible for developing highly productive distribution channel partnerships.
- Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve business objectives within the territory.
- Identify target accounts in each industry segment, develop specific, short term objectives for each account, and achieve those objectives.
- Support ET Water distributors by training distributor sales personnel, making joint sales calls, and providing other support as requested by ET Water.
- Participate in leading landscape contractor trade association chapter meetings/activities to increase visibility of and interest in ET Water products among members.
- Participate in regional Building Industry Association chapters to establish homebuilder relationships and achieve sales objectives in homebuilder segment.
- Prepare and present incentive programs to selected accounts in the territory to reward sales volume.
- Participate in local water agency smart controller events, ensure ETwater participation in all municipal incentive programs in the territory, and achieve ETwater sales objectives in water agency rebate programs.
- Provide necessary ETwater product training to installers and end users to ensure installation success and very high customer satisfaction.
- Be the "voice of the customer" to ETwater management to ensure ETwater addresses customer concerns and incorporates customer ideas and feedback into its product development process.
- Recommend additional programs and marketing strategies to further develop the local market for ETwater products.
"MUST HAVE" QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must reside within or immediately proximate to the designated sales territory.
- Must have at least 3 years sales experience and proven ability to close sales and build successful customer relationships.
- Must have at least 2 years relevant sales experience in one of the following:
- Sales to landscape contractors
- Sales to property managers and/or HOAs
- Sales to homebuilders and/or developers
- Sales to specifiers and/or municipalities
- Must have extensive customer contacts from previous sales experience above
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have demonstrated ability to lead group presentations.
- Must be a quick study and possess a "can do" attitude.
- Must be a selfstarter with high energy and have the ability to work independently.
- Must be technologysavvy and very comfortable working with PC's and the Internet.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (BUT NOT REQUIRED):
- Four year undergraduate degree.
- Formal training and/or education in best practices for sales.
- Academic background in horticulture.
- Knowledge of landscape management practices.
- Interest in resource management, water conservation, and environmental stewardship.

POSITION: Customer Support Professional
LOCATION: Corte Madera, California
HOURS: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Customer Support Professional will be the primary telephone contact for all incoming ETwater product/service inquiries and customer support calls. A high percentage of calls will be handled to conclusion, with other calls being routed to technical support, sales or other functional areas within the company. In addition, the CSP will also assist with technical support where possible and contribute to a variety of sales initiatives and marketing projects. The successful candidate must:
Customer Service and Support
- Deliver an exceptional customer service experience to all customers.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of ETwater's system operation.
- Respond to callers by conveying primary product features and corresponding benefits that will be realized by users of ETwater's system.
- Develop an understanding of competitive offerings and the advantages of ETwater's system and pricing strategy; and be able to communicate ETwater's marketing message, competitive position, and product pricing options to prospects.
- Assist customers in resolving problems with orders, returns, and use of ETwater's products and services.
- Manage the overall order process, including order entry, verification of pricing and terms, verification of delivery location and date, and invoicing. Track orders and respond to customer order inquiries as needed.
- Monitor customer accounts to identify potential problems or improvements.
Marketing/Sales Support
- Maintain customer database and produce customer reports as needed by management.
- Provide reports and updates to management as needed regarding product performance, customer satisfaction, and other areas as requested.
- Assist with trade show participation and organization of sales presentations.
- Assist marketing dept. with production of collateral materials and implementation of direct mail campaigns.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Friendly, professional telephone demeanor.
- Demonstrated ability to address customer issues, solve problems, and create positive outcomes for customers.
- Must be a quick study, be a self-starter, and possess a "can do" attitude. Must be willing to assist in all functional areas if needed.
- Excellent computer skills and facility with business and Internet software, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. Ability to self-learn computer programs and online applications such as Adobe's Indesign and salesforce.com.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations to provide product installation support or other field assistance if needed.
- Ability to generate enthusiasm about ETwater's products and services.
- 23 years relevant experience in customer service and/or inside sales
- 4year undergraduate degree
- An interest in water conservation and horticulture.
DESIRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS:
Related Industry Experience/Knowledge:
- Undergraduate studies and/or degree in horticulture, landscape design, or other landscape-related field.
- Work experience in landscaping or landscape-related field.
- Knowledge of commercial & residential landscape management practices.
- Work experience in the field of resource management, water conservation, or environmental preservation.
Sales Experience:
- 12 years experience in inside sales.
