It may sound crazy, but watering less will often make your plants stronger and healthier. Healthy plants require a strong and deep root structure. When plants are watered too frequently, the roots don't need to go far to find water so they remain shallow. Plants will shallow roots are more susceptible to disease and will suffer in the hotter drought conditions. Using the "moisture balance" watering method, the ET Water system promotes a deeper healthier root structure.

The ET Water method for developing a precision watering schedule uses the Moisture Balance Method, a long standing and proven approach to managing irrigation and achieving optimum plant health. Using the Water Balance Method, the amount of water applied during each irrigation event actually remains constant. This amount is based on a pre-defined soil moisture depletion level, typically around 50% of the moisture in the plant root zone.
