In the last few years, Adobe Systems of San Jose, CA, has implemented a wide range of aggressive conservation measures at their multi–building headquarters. The result is a remarkable record of capturing more than $1 million in annual energy and water savings from a one–time $1.2 million capital investment. This performance has put Adobe in line for a highly coveted "Platinum" certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED program.

The landscape features a number of beautiful roof gardens with turf, ornamentals, trees, shrubs and ground covers that are watered by a combination of sprinkler and drip irrigation that are maintained by Jensen Landscape Services. "We really value the ease of use provided by the ETwater system" says Kevin Pearson, Regional Manager for Jensen, "it eliminates the need to constantly adjust watering and gives me the ability to monitor irrigation from my PC".

ETwater In Action

CB Richard Ellis, the nation's largest property management company, provides its Bay Area commercial clients with a professional landscape management program. This valuable service includes monthly visits to each site that ensure landscape contractors are maintaining healthy landscapes. In addition, centralized purchasing assures low prices for plant materials and equipment. Importantly, irrigation management to eliminate water waste and reduce water bills is part of the CB Richard Ellis management equation.

Heidi Romppanen, Landscape Manager, had experience with ETwater's self–adjusting controller at her previous company. Since joining CB Richard Ellis, as she encounters controllers that fail she has been replacing them with ETwater's system. In addition to anticipated reductions in client water bills, she appreciates the ability to remotely monitor irrigation performance at each site and, if necessary, adjust controllers from her PC.
