To ensure your controller is able to factor winter rainfall into the irrigation schedule, leave the controller in online mode. You don’t need to suspend the controller, or shut it off.

Q: Why can’t I program establishment schedules and automatic schedules to run at the same time?

A: Our research indicates establishment (or, syringe) schedules are most useful during the daylight hours. New turf or plants need water when the ET rates are highest. And, we understand from customer feedback that irrigation for mature landscapes tends to occur between midnight and 7am. As such, our program allows establishment schedule irrigation only when the controller is not watering automatically.
