California #Smartest Irrigation Rebates

Depending on where you live in California your purchase and installation of an ETwater weather-based smart irrigation controller may entitle you to a cash or water bill rebate from your local water provider.  Check below to see what cost-saving rebates are available in your area and the eligibility requirements.

Northern California

Alameda County Water District. Commercial, Industrial, Institutional and HOA customers can get a rebate of up to $30 per active station.

Bayshore. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Bear Gulch. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Chico. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Contra Costa County Water District. Residential and commercial customers can get a rebate for the cost of the ETwater smart controller.

Dixon. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Foster City. Rebate of up to $250 for residential customers, and for commercial customers and multi-family dwellings a full rebate of the cost of the ETwater smart controller, plus up to $50 per station to a maximum rebate of $7,500 for any one customer.

King City. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Livermore. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Los Altos. For all residential, multi-family and commercial customers from 1-12 stations can  receive up to $300 per ETwater smart controller; 13-24 stations up to $1000 per controller; and, 25 stations or greater up to $2000 per controller.

Marysville. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Monterey. Residential customers can get a rebate up to $100 with up to four stations. An additional $10 is available per station up to twenty(20) stations.

Mountain View. For all residential, multi-family and commercial customers from 1-12 stations can  receive up to $300 per ETwater smart controller; 13-24 stations up to $1000 per controller; and, 25 stations or greater up to $2000 per controller.

North Marin Water District. Residential customers can get $100 OR $30 per active station up to $1,200 per controller, whichever is greater. However, the rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the Smart Controller.

Oroville. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Palo Alto. For all residential, multi-family and commercial customers from 1-12 stations can  receive up to $300 per ETwater smart controller; 13-24 stations up to $1000 per controller; and, 25 stations or greater up to $2000 per controller.

Petaluma.  Provides Commercial, Industrial and Institutional accounts as well as Multi-Family Residential accounts up to a $900 rebate for the purchase of  ETwater smart irrigation.

Redwood Valley. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Salinas. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

San Jose. For all residential, multi-family and commercial customers from 1-12 stations can  receive up to $300 per ETwater smart controller; 13-24 stations up to $1000 per controller; and, 25 stations or greater up to $2000 per controller.

Santa Clara. For all residential, multi-family and commercial customers from 1-12 stations can  receive up to $300 per ETwater smart controller; 13-24 stations up to $1000 per controller; and, 25 stations or greater up to $2000 per controller.

Santa Rosa. Residential incentive up to $100.00 for qualifying smart controller/irrigation hardware; and, commercial customers up to $1,000.00, and the rebate cannot exceed the cost of materials.

Selma. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Soquel Creek. Residential and commercial customers can receive a rebate $75-$125 or $600 per irrigated acre for larger sites.

Stockton. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Sunnyvale. For all residential, multi-family and commercial customers from 1-12 stations can  receive up to $300 per ETwater smart controller; 13-24 stations up to $1000 per controller; and, 25 stations or greater up to $2000 per controller.

Visalia. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Willows. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Windsor. Rebate of 50% off the cost of your ETwater smart irrigation controller.

Southern California

Antelope Valley. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Bakersfield (Bakersfield and North Garden water systems). Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Coachella Valley Water District. Residential homeowners may be eligible to purchase a smart irrigation controller for a significantly discounted rate of $50 or $100, depending on the number of stations. HOAs and businesses with a dedicated landscape meter may be eligible for a rebate on smart irrigation controllers of up to $750 per irrigated acre of half the cost of the controller, whichever is less.

Grover Beach. $50 rebate to residential customers, multi-family units and HOAs who install an ETwater smart irrigation controller.

Kern River Valley. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD)* Residential customers who install or upgrade to a weather-based “smart” controller can receive $80 per controller (<1 acre) or $35 per station (>1 acre). Rebate amounts vary by local water agency and are subject to change. Public Agencies can get $55 per station for installing ETwater.

Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) Residential customers who install or upgrade to a weather-based ETwater smart controller can receive $380 per controller (under an

acre) or $35 per station for over an acre. Commercial customers receive $35 per station.


Purisima Hills
. For all residential, multi-family and commercial customers from 1-12 stations can  receive up to $300 per ETwater smart controller; 13-24 stations up to $1000 per controller; and, 25 stations or greater up to $2000 per controller.

Rancho Dominguez. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.

San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA)** Single family weather-based ETwater smart irrigation controller incentives start at $80 per controller for residential sites with less than one acre of landscaping. For residential sites with landscapes on acre or larger, incentives start at $35 per station. Rebates cannot exceed the purchase price of the controllers.

Santa Barbara. Residential and commercial customers can get 50% rebate of the actual cost on pre-approved purchase of ETwater.

Santa Monica. Residential customers can get a rebate up to $2,000.

Ventura. Rebate of $80 per ETwater smart controller if <1 Acre, $35 per station if >1 Acre for Residential customers, $50 per station for Commercial.

Westlake. Rebate of up to $125 for residential customers, and $25 per station for commercial customers.
